Wolves decent value to exploit Forest’s incurable travel sickness

Nottingham Forest finished rock bottom of the away league table last season, losing of 13 of their 19 road games and winning just one. Things don’t appear to have change a great deal so far this term with Steve Cooper’s side losing five of their first seven away from the City Ground.

There’s some serious mitigation to their road efforts this term in that they’ve already visited Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool. However, Forest have lost their last two away games to West Ham and Fulham suggesting more generalised issues remain.

Wolves have won three and drawn two of their last five at Molineux, beating Man City, Tottenham and Burnley and drawing with Aston Villa and Newcastle. Odds of 17/20 about a home win seem fair reward for them claiming three points at the expense of the troubled travellers.

Tip: Wolves to beat Nottingham Forest @ 17/20

Home comforts

Somewhat counterintuitively only Arsenal (16) and Tottenham (15) have claimed more away points in the Premier League this season than Everton (13). The flipside of that is that the Toffees’ home record is the reason they’re in the relegation zone at the time of writing.

They’ve lost five, drawn one and won two of their seven EPL assignments at Goodison Park so far in 2023/24 – a rap sheet that includes defeats to foes as moderate as Fulham, Wolves and Luton.

The Toffees’ 3-0 midweek victory over an injury-ravaged Newcastle team who have lost four of their seven away games so is expected to be a false dawn and Chelsea should prove a far tougher proposition.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men have already won away at Fulham, Burnley and Spurs this term and were unlucky to go down 2-1 in on Wednesday to a Man Utd side that thrashed Everton 3-0 at Goodison on the 26th of November.

Tip: Chelsea to beat Everton @ 13/10

Hatters can find the net in another valiant Kenilworth Road defeat

Backing Arsenal’s hitherto miserly road defence to form the basis of a win to nil at Kenilworth Road in midweek won’t have been one of the best tips we’ve given Betzone News readers this term.

Luton have now scored in seven of their eight home games in all competitions so far this term culminating in hitting three past the Gunners. Backing them to find the net in defeat against Man City boosts the City win odds from 1/7 to 17/10.

Ultimately Pep Guardiola’s men are expected to have enough to come away with three points, as 10-man Tottenham and Arsenal did and an incredibly wasteful Liverpool should have done. However, they have only kept two clean sheets in 11 games away from the Etihad so far this season offering encouragement that the Hatters can find the net.

Tip: Manchester City to beat Luton and both teams to score @ 17/10
