Goals have been following the Oranje around long before reverse fixture thrashing

The Netherlands will be on the Christmas card lists of overs backers up and down the land having seen three goals-plus scored in each of their last nine internationals and four or more notched seven times in that sequence.

France were one of the dance partners for Ronald Koeman’s side during that run, putting four goals past the Oranje for no reply in Paris in the nations’ first outings after the World Cup in Qatar.
The Netherlands have scored at least twice in their five games since and should chip in to help get us over the 3.5 line this time around.

Tip: Netherlands vs France over 3.5 goals @ 9/4

Rock solid rearguard the best route to value if you’re backing the prolific Portuguese

Portugal have been bossing Group J, winning each of their six games so far, scoring 24 goals and conceding none. Finding the best value way to back them is the order of the day here.

They’re 3/4 with a -1 handicap, but they only beat the Slovaks 1-0 away and trusting in their so-far impregnable defence to underpin the win with another clean sheet is more attracively priced at 10/11.

Francesco Calzona’s visitors were only able to beat Lichtenstein 1-0 in their last away game and they should be comfortably kept at bay by a defence marshalled by Manchester City’s Ruben Dias.

Tip: Portugal to beat Slovakia to nil @ 10/11

Magyars can complete double over Serbia to strike decisive blow in qualifying quest

Hungary have to warrant serious interest to beat Serbia in Budapest having given them an own-goal head start and still come away from Belgrade with three points back in September.

Marco Rossi’s side have lost just twice in their last 15 outings (both narrow defeats to Italy) and won four of their last five home games.

The Magyars have also shown they have the quality beat better sides than the Serbs in recent years, drawing against Germany and beating England to nil home and away in the last Nations League.

Top of Group G with a game in hand on their second-placed visitors, they can go a long way to nailing down their Euro 2024 qualification with a win.

Tip: Hungary to beat Serbia @ 13/8

Searing Spanish attack very generously priced to prove the difference in Norway

Goals have been very easy to come by for La Roja this season, with their two outings to date yielding them seven away to Georgia and six at home to Cyprus. Norway are a better class of opposition than those sides, but still succumbed 3-0 to Luis de la Fuente’s men back in March.

Given the increasing onus on the Norwegians to attack as hosts there should be plenty of space for their guests to exploit and enough chances for them to seal the win. Already beaten by at home by Scotland in this qualifying group the hosts are certainly beatable in Oslo.

Tip: Spain to beat Norway @ 5/6
