How It Works
-
1
Enter Your Players
Simply fill in the names of entrants and their email addresses* and we’ll put all the names in a virtual hat and do the draw for you.
No more messing around with bits of paper and keeping records!
-
2
Generate Sweepstake
You can play with either 8 names, 16 names or 32 names.
So, if you have 8 names, everyone will be randomly allocated 4 teams. With 16 names, everyone gets 2 random teams.
-
3
Use a Wild Card!
If you don’t have 8, 16, or 32 names, you can enter “Wild Card” to make up the names. If a Wild Card entry wins the sweepstakes, it is counted as a group win.
-
What happens if I don’t have exactly 8, 16 or 32 names?
That’s where a “wild card” entry comes in. Simply enter “Wild Card” to make up the names to either 8, 16 or 32, and if a wild card wins, then the prize is shared by everyone that entered. For example, let’s say you have 14 people in your workplace and everyone wants to enter. You enter the 14 names and email addresses plus two entries that say “Wild Card” for both name & email address. The sweepstake then randomly allocates 2 teams (32 teams are taking part in the World Cup) to every entry including to the 2 “Wild Card” entries. If a Wild Card entry wins the sweepstakes, it is counted as a group win. In this case, everyone that entered will be emailed, notifying them of the Wild Card win.

What do you do with the email addresses?
Firstly, make sure you have permission to share other people’s email addresses or that you know they won’t mind. [You should only include details of people you know to be over 18.]We will store any email address securely and will use it only for the purpose of communication about your local sweepstake. The first email will be sent to individual entrants showing the full sweepstake – who has got the favourite, who has got the wooden spoon! We will send an update email at the end of every stage of the tournament and a final one will be sent within 24 hours of the end of the tournament notifying everyone of the winning entrant. Emails may contain links to Betzone’s news site news.betzone.co.uk/worldcup and an offer to sign up and bet at Betzone.co.uk. Within 14 days of the end of the World Cup, all personal details will be permanently deleted.
