The Leupold meets my requirements better than the Zeiss due to the fact its turrets lock and would be much harder to accidentally bump off zero but is 60% more costly. But the Zeiss also meets most of my requirements and is about 40% cheaper. I have only three concerns about the scopes
The Zeiss are great scopes, I had a conquest on my deer rifle for a couple years. My only complaint about the Zeiss was when it got to around 5 above the power ring would start to get stiff, and by the time it reached 30 below the power ring would not move. Sent it into Zeiss and explained the problem and when I got it back there was a note in the box that said they cleaned the power ring ...
Hi there, I got a Zeiss discount cert and is debating between S3 6-36 and S5 5-25 for prs centerfire rifle. Does anyone have experience with both of them? Simple question would be: is S5 $700 better than the S3? I have tried my friend's S3 at the range and find the eyebox bit tight comparing...
Gents, Has anyone directly compared these two scopes side-by-side and if so, what was your take on it? Do you think that the Razor Gen 2 is a closer comparison to this Zeiss? Apologies if this has already been discussed and I missed it.
