Yahya (Arabic: يحيى, romanized: Yaḥyā), also spelled Yehia, is an Arabic male given name. In the Qur'an, Yahya also appears as the Arabic equivalent of the given name of the prophet John the Baptist in Islam. [a] For this reason, Yahya is now a common name in the Muslim world.

Prophet Yahya (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) was a humble servant of Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) who found peace and solace in nature. He often slept in mountains, fields, caves, or holes in the ground. His nights were spent crying and praising Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) for His countless blessings.
