I replaced the front strut assemblies on my 2011 Traverse in 2019 with complete ready to install KYB units for $144.00 each. Those same strut assemblies today cost $187.00, still a major bargain for the do-it-yourselfer over dealer installed.
Our experience with our Traverse on ice and snow, even deeper snow (up to 15"), has been great. As with any vehicle in that deep of snow, you're not making any contact with the asphalt, just snow.
