GMU 127 / Mica Peak Really close to Spokane, and all private, sounds like good whitetail country. You can try pounding on some doors, I've always been told no for permission out there. I think your best bet would the inland paper. The elk that I know of out there are close to Newman lake and into Post Falls.
I went elk hunting today on mica peak and it was definately combat hunting except no one was shooting. I was wondering if anyone can give me some tips on hunting mica peak. I am hopefully going again on thursday. Also, are their any elk on Mt. Spokane. Would it be better to go thier than mica peak? and if so, would you go to the east side towards spirit lake. Mica is now closed to motorized vehicles and I figured that the deer up there probably hadn't been pressured too much. I got a late start to the day, but a 45 minute hike, a little farting around getting situated in the tree and I was ready to rock by about 11:30.
