Has anyone used a strat pickup on their Tele neck. I've seen a couple of David Gilmour videos where he has one on his tele. Also I was looking at the Full Monty Danish Pete Pickups, and they mention that the neck is similiar to a Strat sound. I'm intrigued.
Ive put dozens of Strat necks on Tele bodies because Strat necks were more plentiful and cheaper. But a Tele deserves a Tele neck. I buy Warmoth necks for the same reason, Fender foolishness with skinny necks. Actually love the 59 and the boatneck equally, though by accident having snagged a deal on a roasted boatneck which is on my main Tele.

I did my Strat like a Tele with just a three way switch. Bridge; Bridge + Neck; Neck. And the Volume is for Bridge and Neck pickups. Master Tone. The second tone knob is just a Volume for the Middle Pickup - now I can have any pickup individually, or in any combination.
