SCARCE accepts a variety of items for reuse and recycling as part of our effort to help people and our planet prosper. New and gently used books and supplies can be donated by local community members, schools, and organizations looking to reduce waste and give back to students everywhere.

SCARCE gives away all of its books and school supplies and, thus, depends on donations to pay the rent, utilities, and staff of the Book Rescue, Tools for Schools, Super Crayon Project, and other rescue programs.

Most holiday light collection bins are indoors and only available for drop-off during business hours, which may be different during the holidays. Don’t see your town? Check with your local government for additional locations or bring them to SCARCE. We take lights year-round!

Most community recycling events are drive through recycling and reuse events for residents. Check the list of accepted items and load up your car.
