The "Gestapo" isn't as sinister as it sounds, the guy who interviewd me was a Brit ex policeman who had to leave the police for some infraction. The interview was quite light hearted although he did make me do press ups when I made spelling mistakes on my written statements. I suppose Flash would have ended up with arms like Conan the Barbarian.
hello, sorry if this has been asked before... what checks do the gestapo do? Do they do deep checks like CRB, military family members, parents, education, work etc, or is it more or less an Interpol check. Just want to be prepared in all fairness. Thanks
The only people who need the full truth are the Gestapo and I, and I plan on being 100% honest, contrary to what others suggest online. Anyhow, I’ve searched the forums and other sites for information on a particular question I have, and so far to no avail.
With regards to the 'gestapo' they don't know everything. They accused some American of lying when I was there and all because they could not find his home town on the computer. Be aware that they know how to put questions to catch you out so make your story and stick to it. We saw 1 guy get caught lying and it looked pretty painful.
I read in a previous post that gestapo/interpol check your status with the IRS to make sure you check out, fact or fiction I dont know, but the IRS will garnish your tax returns untill the interest incurring debt is settled.
