Add a N.T.S. piece of text in the family and assign it another Yes/No type parameter named NTS. Enter "not (Auto Scale)" in the formula box for the NTS parameter so that if one is ON, the other is OFF and vice versa, automatically. Create different types for Scale and NTS. Load in project and create different Viewport types using the types above.
Hi, >> I converted a drawing to PDF. When I scaled it to 1:20 before saving as a PDF Please, never scale a geometry. Simply create a layout, create one or more viewports and assign these viewports the scale you want to have, then run command _PLOT and select a PDF-device like "DWG to PDF.pc3". >> still the same size and NTS? Solved: Please help I want to change the scale in my sheet to NTS.
Running AutoCAD 2021, I don't see an overly-obvious way of going about this, but is there a way to change the viewport scale text field to display "NTS" instead of "Custom" at every decimal scale? Essentially just need to change the automatic scale of Custom to display NTS. Thanks!
A (hopefully) quick question: When I add a rendering view to a sheet, the scale shown in the view annotation is 12" = 1'-0". Can this be changed to "NTS"? The Scale Value parameter is grayed out in the Properties panel. Thanks, Jon
This post is not about the workarounds people can or have come up with, to simply write NTS. This IDEA is to actually have a new TRUE 'NOT TO SCALE' option where a view, when placed on a sheet, can be scaled and resized freely with grips, and be a true 'not to scale'.
