I know you can import from NMM to Vortex, but can you do the opposite? I really miss being able to choose what files are overwritten when one mod is overwriting a previous mod. Say if I want the trees from one floral mod, but the flowers from a different floral mod; I can't do that in Vortex, rig...

Launching the game through NMM (with or without Administrator privileges) doesn't make a difference. I even tried deleting the .ini files then launching through NMM; new .ini files were created but NMM still says they don't exist. I'm running Windows 7 and NMM is installed to my D: drive, if that matters.

This is going to cover the use of NMM to manually install mods and how to prepare your game for modding itself. If you have already installed any modifications to your game but you are having issues what I would like you to do before anything else is to go into your Nexus Mod Manager and select the following button;

  1. Using NMM, uninstall all your mods. Check your game directory - it should be as clean as a fresh install. 3) If not, delete everything not from Bethesda, and use Steam to validate your directory. 4) Drag all those archives (maybe 20 at a time) to the Vortex window and let Vortex install them. 5) Enable all, resolve any conflicts, and Deploy.

Some people are finding that even after updating NMM to v0.65.4 they still get a "script exception" message when installing some mods (such as UIO and MCM).
