Lithops seedlings still alive and its gotten hot and very dry again. Not under plastic anymore so they have to make it on their own at 100F and 10% humidity and 40 MPH winds. They are under shade cloth ~60% . Pretty tough little plants. I think The conophytums , the few that sprouted, might just stop growing or die, and they are under plastic.

My lithops went from being plump in the store to light wrinkling after repotting it, then pronounced wrinkles grew after I watered it. I read that wrinkles can mean it's thirsty but I am scared of overwatering.

  1. Lithops are found on every kind of (rocky) soil from wildly alkaline to fairly acid. Each species tends to be found on a particular type of rock, some are extremely specific. The majority are found on limestone-based soils which are very common across southern Africa, but in cultivation they don't seem to mind what pH they have. --ian

i know there are lots of posts regarding a topic about taking care of lithops in the tropics, but i just wanna know, how do i put them in the fridge? gradually introduce them to the fridge? if so, how? or can i just put them in there overnight immediately? what about the humidity? should i water them less if thats the case? what schedule should i follow? the soil mix i use is probably 30/60 ...
