Hello, seeking suggestions about the Louvre. Traveling in June, family of 4; 2 adults and 2 kids ages 18 and 14. Should we do a guide tour or what do you suggest to get the most of the visit?
The Louvre's "Mobilier" collection encompasses a wide array of decorative arts, including furniture, objets d'art, and period rooms, all dating from the 17th and 18th centuries.
The Louvre is showing several Country Codes as United States 1201, 1202, 1203 and so on up to 1500. No way to know which will work. Tried so many times it kicked me out. Louvre website lists the +1 (code for US) followed by area code. The list is very long. Just drop down and find the area code for your phone. For example, the Boston area code is 617. So I chose 1617 and it worked.
I think there is a big problem with the Louvre website today. Two friends of mine here in Paris were trying to get signed in to purchase Louvre event tickets and were also getting blocked, told they already had log-ins, etc. Unfortunately I think there is a bad bug in there today !
Do you still wait in line if you purchase timed entry tickets at the Louvre? If so, how long do you typically have to wait?
