Yes, most of gizmos T2 have are similar to T1, but they give more flexibility than T1, like "if you pick marble x or y, draw marble", it gave you option if one of those marble color didn't appear on the column. Overall, I said this after countless times playing it both on BGA and offline.

Gizmos starts tactically, but as you proceed and start to build your engine, you can work out which strategy (or combination thereof) will work for you in this particular game. I personally do start looking for pick bonuses, and then build bonuses, but it doesn't always work for me.
