Aracaju (Brazilian Portuguese: [aɾakaˈʒu]; English: / ˌærəkəˈʒuː / ARR-ə-kə-ZHOO ⓘ) is the capital of the state of Sergipe, in northeastern Brazil, about 350 km (217 mi) north of Salvador.
