Carpinteria (/ kɑːrpɪntəˈriːə /; Spanish: Carpintería, meaning "Carpentry") is a small seaside city in southeastern Santa Barbara County, California. Located on the Central Coast of California, it had a population of 13,264 at the 2020 census.

After receiving a generous donation of cash and real estate, Carpinteria Valley Association (CVA) has submitted plans to the City of Carpinteria for a 36-story building that would replace three existing properties on the ocean side of Sandyland Road.
