Kettlefoot has ABRA matches on a regular basis during the summer (outdoor) and with the Outlaw class, you are good to go. Attend some matches, and you'll be able to see some equipment up close, and some competitors will probably allow you to "test drive" their rigs to see what works for you.
ABRA has had 2 bolt classes for several years. As far as a custom 10/22 platform rifle running with a full-blown unlimited bolt rifle, very little chance of that.

I have a Vudoo V22s for ARA/ABRA, with a RBLP action, use a PQP joy stick version 1pc rest. The first time or 2 that you shoot/use a RBLP action it will feel a bit awkward when loading the next round, but becomes second nature within a box of ammo.
