429 and 460 are basically the same thing as far as the 'early' 68-78 engines go. 429 was made from 68 to 73, after that everything was a 460 only (except in large commercial trucks with had a "funky" 429 and 370 engines). The difference in cubic inches comes from the crank stroke.
460 inches with trw domes at 0 deck. RHP D3VE castings with small 2.08" / 1.65" valves, budget port work, 305 / 182 cfm @ .600" lift. 30 degree back cut on both intake and exhaust valves.
Ford E350 460 engine keeps stumping mechanics. We have replaced everything electric, computer, distributor and did a tune up. Any ideas why it could still be misfiring around 3009 RPM? Thank you
