Saturday’s ITV Racing broadcast features eight races split between Beverley, Chester and Sandown including the listed Beverley Bullet (2.05) over 5f and the Group 3 Atalanta Stakes (2.25) and Solario Stakes (3.35) from the Esher track.

A well-treated mare intrigues in the feature race from the Yorkshire track, while Roger Varian can land at least two of the contests from Sandown Park, including one of the Group 3’s with an unbeaten filly.

Star intrigues on seasonal in the Bullet after progressive 2024

Regional is a worthy favourite to land the listed Beverley Bullet (2.00) having twice finished in the first four in Group 1 sprints already this season.

However, with at least 5lbs in hand on all bar two of his rivals on official ratings and at least 10lbs in hand on the rest he’s likely to go off pretty short and STAR OF LADY M appeals as an each-way alternative.

She’s the second best horse in the race on BHA mark (109), yet receives weight from most of the principles including 5lbs from the 114-rated market leader – effectively putting them level at the weights.

A listed scorer in an Ayr fillies & mares race and a close sixth in an open Group 3 at the back end of last season, the course and distance scorer looks a fair price to continue her upward trajectory here.

Unbeaten Lady big value against Blue Bolt in the Atalanta

The Atalanta Stakes (2.35) sees likely favourite Blue Bolt bid to bring up a four timer to follow up her victory in the Coral Distaff over course and distance on Eclipse day, while impressive debut novice winner Alobayaah is also likely to take warm order on just her second career start.

Comparatively overlooked in the market is Roger Varian’s LADY OF SPAIN, who is trading at double figure odds at the time of writing despite arriving with a 100% record after four lifetime runs.

That sequence alone ought to make her of interest, but the form of her facile victory in a Deauville listed affair last time out is working out very nicely, with the third and fourth both winners next time out.

Tate’s Frontier can land 1m2f handicap  for second year running

John and Thady Gosden’s Dangerman is well fancied to bring up a course and distance hat-trick in the Read Meg Nicholls’ Blog At betmgm.co.uk Handicap (2.25), fighting for favouritism with the 101 rated SADDADD at the time of writing.

As three-year-old’s both receive weight from the majority, but the former is readily opposed as the second lowest-rated in the field, stepping up to Class 2 level having registered his recent brace in Class 4 affairs.

The latter is far tougher to dismiss having won the usually portentous London Gold Cup last time out and seen the third, Quai De Bethune, go on to win the Golden Gates Stakes at Royal Ascot on his next start.

Roger Varian’s colt is already the fourth-best horse in the field in terms of his handicap mark, gets a 7lb allowance from his older rivals and is sure to improve again in what’s just his fifth career outing.
