The best backed horse of day 3 of the Cheltenham Festival is in the Stayers’ Hurdle, where French raider Gold Tweet is all the rage. A winner at the track on trials day, he has more than halved in price, having been available at 11/1 last night. Johnny Charron’s gelding is now as short as 5/1 to give the French a first win in this race since Baracouda in 2003.
Today’s other main mover is Appreciate It, who has been backed to claim the scalp of Mighty Potter in the opener. He is now 11/4 from 100/30 to give Paul Townend another winner at the meeting and consolidate his position at the head of the Top Jockey standings.
