Every weekend seems to contain a key fixture in the Premier League title race at this point in the campaign and Liverpool’s Sunday afternoon trip to Manchester United is the latest example.
There are two good reasons to suspect the Erik ten Hag’s side can inconvenience their northwest rivals, while the chances of Burnley and Wolves look similarly underrated in their Saturday assignments.

Clarets can make their point having belatedly found their groove
Burnley are in the midst of their longest unbeaten run of a sobering season ahead of the trip to Goodison Park having claimed three draws and a win from their last four Premier League games.
Only a 90th minute equaliser robbed the Clarets of victory away to West Ham, an otherwise resurgent Brentford were bested 2-1 at Turf Moor, Chelsea were held 2-2 at Stamford Bridge and most recently the held Wolves on home turf.
Everton’s 4/6 favouritism seems somewhat dismissive of Vincent Kompany’s increasingly competitive visitors as a result – especially when the Toffees have won just once in their last 14 outings.
The 5/4 about Burnley double chance comes under consideration as a result but their own propensity for snatching draws from the jaws of defeat and victory in recent fixtures suggests more value may lay in backing a share of the spoils.
Tip: Everton vs Burnley – Draw @ 3/1
Wolves a value win bet against visitors gearing up for Europa road trip
Gary O’Neill’s Wolverhampton Wanderers could leapfrog West Ham in the table with victory in the sides’ Molineux matchup on Saturday and they look value to do so, with a home win priced at 7/5.
The Irons are certainly ripe for taking on as 19/10 road ‘dogs having lost seven of their last 10 away games in all competitions, with one of those in which they avoided defeat a 2-2 draw against rock-bottom Sheffield United.
David Moyes’ men will also have next week’s Europa League last-eight first-leg trip to a Bayer Leverkusen side running away with the Bundesliga under Xabi Alonso on their minds. Wolves are in the form to capitalise, having won their last three home games against EPL opposition.
Tip: Wolves to beat West Ham @ 7/5
Odds underrate Red Devils’ rap sheet as regular Liverpool frustraters
Liverpool look ripe for opposition as 4/6 away favourites when they face Manchester United at Old Trafford just three weeks after a 4-3 extra time loss at the same Stadium in a pulsating FA Cup tie.
That was the fourth time United have taken on Jurgen Klopp’s side under Erik ten Hag and the third time in those four meetings in which they’ve avoided defeat.
The Red Devils also held Liverpool 0-0 at Anfield and beat them 2-1 in Manchester last season to suggest that odds of 6/5 about them avoiding defeat is very fair, especially given the added motivation of striking a blow to their bitter rivals’ title hopes in the process.
