Clarets are ideal opponents for Palace to do the new manager bounce on

New Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner could hardly have asked for a better first Premier League game in the Eagles dugout than second bottom Burnley at Selhurst Park.

The Turf Moor outfit have lost 16 of their last 20 games in all competitions, nine of their last 11 on the road and were hammered 5-0 at home by Arsenal last time out. Palace certainly aren’t Arsenal but their chances of victory look underestimated by odds of evens.

Glasner’s new troops had won two and drawn two of their last five home games prior to Roy Hodgson stepping aside and having a new manager to impress can inspire them to up their level sufficiently to secure victory.

Tip: Crystal Palace to beat Burnley @ 1/1

Wanderers assist king sure to serve up chances in likely Blades battering

Wolves wide forward Pedro Neto laid on his ninth assist of the Premier League campaign last time out when setting up Joao Gomes’s winner away to Tottenham and the Portuguese now averages more assists per 90 mins than any other player to have been involved in 10 games or more (0.6).

There should be ample opportunity to move into double figures for assists against rock-bottom Sheffield United, who shipped five at home to Brighton last time out and have conceded a massive 65 goals in 25 league games so far this season.

Tip: Pedro Neto (Wolves) anytime assist vs Sheff Utd @ 6/4

Victory for promotion-chasing Dons no gimmee against League Two form team

MK Dons are 4/6 to beat Newport County at Stadium MK this weekend, a price which looks fair enough at first glance. Milton Keynes are fifth in the table and have won 10 of their 16 home games while their visitors are more modestly placed down in 14th.

However, Newport are the division’s undisputed form team having won five of their last six in the third tier. They drew 0-0 with MK at Rodney Parade earlier in the season and the 5/4 about them avoiding defeat in the return fixture looks worrth backing.

Tip: Newport to win or draw (double chance) vs MK Dons @ 5/4

Salford can prolong fine start to Robinson’s reign away inconsistent Stags

Karl Robinson has enjoyed a very profitable start to life as Salford manager. His team are unbeaten since he replaced Neil Wood in the City dugout, with a return of four wins and four draws so far. They can be backed at 6/4 to avoid defeat away to high-flying Mansfield.

The Stags don’t have the most formidable of home records despite sitting second in League Two. They’ve only won a modest eight of their 15 League Two assignments at Field Mill so far this term.

Tip: Salford to win or draw (double chance) vs Mansfield @ 6/4
