There are a whole host of very reasonably priced League One and Two pace-setters playing at home this weekend and that than can mean only one thing – it’s time for an EFL accumulator.
Maybe it’s the Betzone traders refusing to get carried away by early season form, but each of our EFL four-fold tips looks like a very decent single bet in its own right. Together they combine to make up a 12/1 four-fold acca that feels extremely plausible for the price.

‘Moral’ League One leaders a big price at home to troubled Tykes
Wigan may be 19th in the League One table but they boast the best goal difference in the division and they’d be top if not for the eight-points they’d had deducted for failure to pay player wages on time last season.
The Latics battered previously table-topping Bolton Wanderers 4-0 on their own turf and look a cracking price to best a Barnsley outfit for whom a 7-0 opening day victory looks something of a false dawn. The Tykes come into this off the bacl of successive 3-1 home losses.
Tip: Wigan to beat Barnsley @ 6/5
Improving Oxford can extend Charlton’s poor start to the season
Oxford had the biggest negative differential between their xG per game and actual goals scored per game in League One last season, but they’ve begun 2023/24 in more clinical fashion. Liam Manning’s side have won their last three third tier games.
Those victories include away wins at Derby and Barnsley and the U’s look good value to down a Charlton side that have lost three of their four league games so far this season. The Addicks lost 3-1 at the Kassam Stadium last term and the hosts look a far tougher proposition this time around.
Tip: Oxford to beat Charlton @ 10/11
Table-topping Gills a generous price at home to rock bottom guests
Neil Harris’ Gillingham have been poster boys for this column since their takeover-inspired Lazarus act began around Christmas 2022. They lead the way in League Two after extending their perfect start to the campaign with a 1-0 win away to Crawley last time out and have yet to concede a league goal this term.
The 4/5 available about them seeing off rock-bottom Colchester this weekend looks quintessential accumulator ammunition. The Essex outfit have lost all three of their games in the division so far and have had a particular issue with shipping late goals – conceding three times in or after the 85th minute in their last two outings.
Tip: Gillingham to beat Colchester @ 4/5
Dangerous MK Dons can profit from leaky Donny defence
MK Dons have made a healthy start to life under Graham Alexander, winning three of their four League Two outings to find themselves sitting in second in the nascent fourth tier standings. Striker Mo Eisa bagged 23 during his last season at this level and already has four in four starts.
Visitors Doncaster have one point to their name from four games so far and have the worst goal-difference in the division after conceding 10 times and scoring just three so far.
