On-song Cherries inexplicably nice price to topple Cottagers
After a concerning start to the campaign things have started to click in a big way for Bournemouth. The Cherries have won five and drawn one of their last six games, scoring at least twice in each of them, while striker Dominic Solanke has struck seven times during that sequence.
At 23/20 for victory Andoni Iraola’s men look a festive treat for accumulator fans and singles backers alike against guests that don’t have the same degree of wind in their sails.
Visiting Fulham have lost their last two Premier League games without scoring, going down 3-0 to injury-ravaged Newcastle at St James’ Park before a more disconcerting 2-0 home defeat to lowly Burnley in their last game before Christmas.
Tip: Bournemouth to beat Fulham @ 23/20
Posh can get the scoreboard ticking over with or without Royals
Peterborough United went into Christmas in the automatic promotion places off the back of a run of seven wins in their last nine League One games.
The Weston Homes Stadium has been the proverbial fortress for Darren Ferguson’s side for much of the campaign and they host Reading having won 10 and drawn three of their last 13 home games in all competitions.
Recently they’ve taken their fire power on their own turf to new heights, racking up at least three goals in four of their last five home games and that’s ideal for our purposes with Posh win odds of 47/100 boosted to 11/10 with the addition of the over 2.5 goals kicker.
The over has clicked in United’s last eight home games. Reading are sure to do their bit on that score too – eight of the Royals’ last nine away games have awarded over 2.5 goals backers, while they’ve also found the net themselves in eight of those nine.
Tip: Peterborough to beat Reading and over 2.5 goals @ 11/10
Dons can hand out latest Plough Lane pummelling to suffering Sutton
Wimbledon have been in irresistible mood at home in recent months, winning their last six at Plough Lane across all competitions and scoring 22 times in the process.
They’re 1/2 to claim three points at the expense of rock-bottom Sutton on Boxing Day as a result, but adding over 2.5 goals into the equation tops up the price nicely to the 11/8 mark.
The Dons put four past both Notts County and Swindon, both far better sides than Sutton, in their last two League Two home games and should be able to rack up a decent tally against guests thrashed eight-nothing by Stockport on their most recent road trip.
Tip: AFC Wimbledon to beat Sutton Utd and over 2.5 goals @ 11/8
