Willie Mullins’ Facile Vega is the best backed horse of the day on what has generally been a quiet opening Tuesday. The son of Walk In The Park has taken almost all of the money in the Supreme Novices’ early trading and is now as short as 7/4 having been as big as 5/2 yesterday.

He may give punters, and the Irish, the best possible start, but there is hope that the UK may pull one back with Jonjo O’Neill’s Monbeg Genius. The 7-year-old is looking to make it four wins in a row here and is into 7/1 for the Ultima Handicap Chase having opened up at 12/1.

Finally, there was always a chance that the great Honeysuckle would prove popular, and her fans have kept the faith despite two lesser efforts this season. The dual Champion Hurdle winner was 100/30 in the early hours of this morning, but is now a rock solid 9/4 chance as she looks to land the Mares’ Hurdle for a second time.
