Totals line too high for Dallas duel with dour Giants
The Cowboys have exclusively contested high-scoring encounters so far this season, with points totals of 50 at Cleveland, 64 versus New Orleans and 53 against Baltimore.
However, not only is the pick ‘em totals line set at 44.5 for their New York Giants away day, but this one could go lower still – low enough to pitch up south of the 42.5-point line and land odds of 6/5 in the process.
Why? The Giants have yet to play out a ball-game of more than 39 total points in the campaign to date, scoring 6, 18 and 21 themselves in their three outings.
Dallas notched 25 or less in both of the successive defeats they ride into this encounter, suggesting a sub-40 score is far from out of the question.

Unders a ‘Steel’ as streaking Pittsburgh face Colts
The Pittsburgh Steelers sit top of the AFC going into week four with a perfect three wins from as many starts. It stands to reason they’re 17/20 favourites to overcome a -1.5 handicap away to the 1-2 Colts.
Pittsburgh have won each of their three games so far this term by a margin of seven points or more, so there’s plenty to like about the 7/4 on them covering a -4.5 spread.
However, preference in terms of a solid bet is for under 37.5 points at 11/10 given not one of the visitors’ 2024 regular season outings has served up more than 30, while their infamously stingy defence has yet to let slip more than 10 points this term.
The Colts come into the second instalment of their two-game homestand off the back of a confidence-boosting 20-16 win over the Bears last time out – their second successive game ending south of the 37 points mark.

Back Bills fireworks to continue against leaky Baltimore
The Buffalo offence have begun the season with the bit firmly between their teeth, despite losing star wide receiver Steffon Diggs to Houston in the off season.
Josh Allen and friends lead the NFL for points scored over the first three weeks (112), having registered 31 or more in each of their outings so far this September.
That alone makes the 11/10 about them getting over 23.5 points against the Ravens a promising proposition, but Baltimore’s leaky defence adds further weight to the case.
John Harbaugh’s outfit have yet to give up less than 25 in a game this season, losing 23-26 to the lightly regarded Las Vegas Raiders in their previous home game.
