ITV Racing Tips: The big day at Newmarket’s Cambridgeshire Meeting takes centre stage on ITV Racing this Saturday, with the eponymous heritage handicap preceded by a brace of Group 1s for juveniles, the Cheveley Park Stakes and the Middle Park Stakes. A couple of handicaps from Haydock complete the bill of fare.
A Glorious Goodwood handicap could be the rosetta stone when it comes to decoding the 24-runner Cambridgeshire, while backing the favourite could prove a wise approach in the Middle Park.
ITV Racing Tips: Tutty colt fresh for repeat bid in Haydock sprint handicap
Ron Millman’s hat-trick-seeking mare Woolhampton is likely to go off favourite for the Ambassador Cruise Line Handicap (2.05) but she could be vulnerable having gone up 13lbs for her two recent wins.
Gemma Tutty won this race last year with BLUE STORM and the Blue Point colt must have a strong chance of repeating the dose off just a 1lb higher mark.
The four-year-old only returned to action for the campaign when down the field at Haydock earlier this month in what feels like a fairly obvious tune up for this task. He should be a far fresher horse than his rivals, who have been toiling away all season, as a result.

ITV Racing Tips: Only one Approach to identifying Middle Park winner
Looking at this year’s Middle Park Stakes (3.00) first instinct is to take on short-priced favourite WISE APPROACH given he’s already tasted defeat three times in a five-race career.
However, finding something compelling to take him on with is another matter entirely, with Coppull the only one of his adversaries within 12lbs of him on BHA ratings.
The selection finished more than seven lengths ahead of that rival when three-quarters-of-a-length third in the Group 1 Prix Morny last time out – one of the season’s very best juvenile races so far.

ITV Racing Tips: Chief underestimated on form with Cambridgeshire contenders
For those trying to decode this year’s Cambridgeshire Handicap (3.40), the Golden Mile won by Rhoscolyn at Glorious Goodwood could well be the rosetta stone.
The victor isn’t taking part at headquarters, but Ebt’s Guard (second), Real Gain (third), Greek Order (fourth), Fifth Column (fifth, appropriately) and TRIBAL CHIEF (sixth) all line up.
Greek Order is the only one to have dropped in the weights since Goodwood, but is best watched after finishing 14th of 15 last time out. Real Gain must be of interest though, given it was his first run in over a year and this will be his second.
However, preference is the selection, who runs off 4lbs higher than he did in the Summer Mile, but does so off the back of beating the Cambridgeshire favourite Treble Tee by half a length, giving him 1lb in late August.
The latter has won well since and looks set to be market leader going into the weekend, while Tribal Chief is available at a more generous, each-way price).
