The international break may have brought a halt to the Premier League and Championship action but club football punters still have a substantial EFL coupon to get stuck into this weekend, with eight League One fixtures and full slate of 12 games from League Two.
Our last foray into the EFL saw winners at 7/4 and 91/50 and there’s hope one of the sides that obliged then have been underestimated again. Elsewhere Peterborough should struggle to breach Huddersfield and League Two’s game of the weekend looks draw material.
EFL: Terriers can blank uncharacteristically blunt ‘Borough
Peterborough have been synonymous with the attacking football that’s enabled them to sell on striker after high-scoring striker for club-sustaining sums in recent seasons, but things have gone awry in 2025/26 – Posh have notched just two league goals so far.
Darren Ferguson’s men sit rock bottom of the third tier with a single point to show for their first six League One games and are 9/2 underdogs when they visit Huddersfield Town.
Town have made a promising start under new manager Lee Grant, winning four of their first six games in the division and are just 1/2 to claim three points. They’ve also won all three of their home league games without conceding, so X/X about the home win-to-nil looks worth backing.

EFL: Fourth tier table-top tussle should see spoils shared
Leaders Gillingham visit third-placed Bromley in League Two’s match of the weekend, which pits the division’s two remaining unbeaten teams against one another.
The draw has to be a big runner in any game involving sides that don’t do much losing and X/X looks like decent value on a stalemate in this all-Kent clash.
Bromley have drawn three of their first six league games, while Gillingham have drawn two and the table toppers’ tendency to serve up dour affairs lends a share of the spoils further appeal.
Gareth Ainsworth’s men have conceded a joint-division low three goals so far this term and have both the fifth-lowest xG-for and xG-against figures in the division, as per footystats.org, while five of their six games have produced two goals or fewer.

EFL: Side with Harrogate against winless road favourites
The conviction that the market is getting Harrogate Town wrong early this season led us in the direction of a 91/50 winner a fortnight ago and they’ve been underestimated again on Saturday.
Crawley are X/X favourites to beat the Sulphurites in their Yorkshire backyard despite still being winless in League Two this term after four losses and two draws from their first six fixtures.
Harrogate have already beaten Barrow and held Grimsby 3-3 (having led 3-1 with seven minutes of normal time remaining) at the Exercise Stadium and X/X about the home win looks derisory under the circumstances.
