Use surprising Cherries away stat to add value to Arsenal win

Arsenal are just 2/11 to beat Bournemouth in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off, as befits a side that have won 15 of their last 20 home games in all competitions and battered Chelsea 5-0 in their most recent outing at the Emirates.

The Gunners beat Andoni Iraola’s side 4-0 on the south coast in later September but the Cherries have improved immeasurably since then – to the point where safety has already been long since secured and they’ve won five of their last eight games.

Bournemouth definitely have it in them to give Arsenal a run for their money, having scored in 18 of their 19 away games this season and that makes the 13/10 about a home win and both teams to score an attractive proposition.

Tip: Arsenal to beat Bournemouth & both teams to score @ 13/10

Improving Burnley to benefit from Newcastle’s abiding road woes

Burnley are 23/10 outsiders to beat Newcastle at Turf Moor. That price that looks all wrong.

The Clarets are playing their most competitive football of the season as the campaign reaches the business end and they’ve now lost just once in their last seven matches.

Odds-on favourites Newcastle, meanwhile, would be 15th in a Premier League table based only on away form – only Nottingham Forest, Luton and Sheffield United have amassed fewer away points.

Vincent Kompany’s hosts draw too often (five times in their last eight games) to be a particularly confident win bet at more than 2/1 but the 6/4 on them with the draw no bet kicker is appealing.

The visitors have lost 10 of their 16 EPL aways in 2023/24 and the possibility of wrestling the Europa Conference League qualification spot from Manchester United is unlikely to give them as much motivation as Burnley’s fight for survival.

Tip: Burnley to beat Newcastle (draw no bet) @ 6/4

Grim Albion goal drought a big price to continue beyond Villa visit

Brighton have had terrible luck with injuries this season and have particularly suffered in attack, where Evan Ferguson, Kaoru Mitoma and Solly March are all out for the season.

This had led to a real lack of goal threat and over the past nine EPL games the Seagulls have scored a division-low four times – just half as many as the next lowest scorers over the same time period.

Under 0.5 Brighton goals has a whiff of value here at 10/3 as a result. Even if Aston Villa aren’t the division’s most fastidious clean sheet collectors, they’ve blanked the opposition in five of their last 10 away games in all competitions.

Tip: Under 0.5 Brighton goals vs Aston Villa @ 10/3
