Regular readers benefited from Sheffield United’s increased competitiveness under Chris Wilder against Manchester City last time out. The Blades kept things tight enough in their 2-0 loss to the treble winners and can do so again in victory away to League Two Gillingham.
United have only scored four in six games since Wilder’s arrival but their opponents during that sequence have included Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Manchester City.
Gillingham, 10th in the fourth tier, should represent more beatable foes if not ones that would have punters rushing to include the straight Blades win in larger accumulators at 4/9.
More attractive is the 23/10 about an away win and under 2.5 goals at 23/10. The Priestfield club have scored just 13 times in as many home league games this term – the joint lowest in the division – but they also have the fifth best home defensive record in League Two.

Shrewsbury value against guests priced up on Hollywood reputation
Wrexham have been long since left behind a bumpy start to their football league return, winning 20 of their last 26 outings in all competitions. Even so it seems something of an affront for them to be priced up as 13/10 favourites away to a Shrewsbury side operating in mid-table League One.
Salop are 17/10 underdogs on their own patch despite winning seven of their last 10 in all competitions at the Greenhouse Meadow. The only sides to beat them during that sequence were the current League One top three Portsmouth, Bolton and Peterborough.
To offer Shrews backers further hope, Wrexham have won just one of their past four league games and conceded at least twice in the three of those they didn’t win.
