Alonso’s well-oiled machine to record comfortable win

Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso’s name must be on just about every elite club executive’s next manager shortlist right now. Die Werkself have won 14 of their 15 games in all competitions this season, with a 2-2 away draw at Bayern Munich the sole blip on their record.

Leverkusen beat Qarabag 5-1 in Germany two weeks ago and have the goal power to ensure they can overcome a one-goal handicap despite the Azeris having lost just once at home this term.

Alonso’s side have scored 15 goals in their last four games and notched at least twice in all eight away games they’ve played in 2023/24.

Tip: Bayer Leverkusen (-1) to beat FK Qarabag @ 11/10

Liverpool can secure KO spot against modest hosts

Toulouse have won one just two of their six home games this term and could well feel the wrath of a Liverpool team frustrated by their own wastefulness in the 1-1 draw at Luton last Sunday.

The Reds rolled over Le Téfécé 5-1 at Anfield and can secure a knockout berth with a comfortable victory against hosts that have won just twice in their last eight.

Carles Martínez Novell’s men have lost their last three outings in all competitions, conceding twice or more in each of those defeats

Tip: Liverpool (-1) to beat Toulouse @ 11/10

Molde overpriced to do the double over Allsvenkan kingpins

Norwegian Eliteserien champions Molde are a healthy 11/8 to win away to Hacken BK, which is to be expected given a relatively modest return of six wins from 19 road assignments this season.

They may be less effective away from home, but they beat Hacken 5-1 in Norway two weeks ago and it will be surprising if the location of this meeting is enough of a handicap on them for the Swedes to bridge the superiority gap show in that encounter.

Tip: Molde to beat Hacken @ 11/8
